AGENTS OF MAGIC – HOGWARTS YEAR 5: FRIENDS AND OTHER STRANGERS 1.88

Hogwarts-CrestBobby stormed down the hallway with a mood that has been sitting and festering since he lashed out at poor Rose. Everyone still talked about the dance and he did manage to get some stares, and bad looks. Yelling that loudly at someone around here never went entirely unnoticed. All of those faces were ignored. Britto didn’t know what he wanted other than a chance to maybe get away for a while. Too bad he spent too much time thinking about what he wanted to do instead of what lay ahead. If that were the case he would have seen Nicolette in front of him.

He bumped into the Ravenclaw student, not paying much mind to who it was, but he did manage to yell “Outta the way!” with disdain dripping from every word he spoke.

She whirled on him, already in a foul mood from the day’s earlier happenings...

Rose year 6 avie1Madam Pomfrey applied a poultice to Nicolette’s ankle while she and Aeryn watched. As she finished, the door swung open and Rose stepped inside, worriedly scanning the room in search for her friend. “Nic!”Ignoring the glare she earned from Madam Pomfrey, Rose hurried to Nicolette’s bedside and pushed past Aeryn. “Are you ok? I heard all sorts of stories. It’s not like permanent, is it? And what are you wearing?”

Nicolette looked up and smiled at a friendly face. She spoke a million miles a minute, recounting events to her friend. “Oh, Rose! Am I glad to see you! Aeryn was helping me try to get Laun’s attention and we went through her clothes and picked out some stuff to wear and I was doing great until I fell. . ...

Nicolette year 6 avie1Laun and Damien had found themselves lounging by the Hufflepuff table in the Great Hall. Talking about something hilarious apparently judging by Corrina and Sam’s reaction.

“I’m telling you I don’t have a problem.” Corrina defended herself.

“I saw your suitcase Rina, there must have been like twelve platypuses in there, about ten stuffed animal platypuses and two little keychains. It’s a little scary.” Sam laughed.

“You should see the collection in her room at home, it’s monstrous; I was a little scared for my life when I visited her during Christmas break last year.” Laun smirked.

“Oh, and you spent a lot of time up in her room did you?” Neither Laun or Corrina answered this question of Damien’s, they merely shared broad smiles and crimson blushes.

Nicolette followed Aeryn towards the g...

Hogwarts-CrestA group of first years ran screaming out of the great hall having just consumed their fill of pumpkin juice and cakes to go and run around in the sunshine and enjoy themselves as Aeryn made her way into the Great hall. Looking over the tables she saw Nicolette sitting at the Ravenclaw table eating a small array of niblets. Aeryn bound gleefully over and sat herself beside the dark haired Ravenclaw, helping herself to a pumpkin pasty from the table.

“Hey Nic. Everything ok?” she said, flashing a most mischievous grin.

Nicolette placed her tea cup back on the saucer slowly and turned a suspicious eye to her friend. “Yes, Ryn. Can I do something for you?”

Aeryn swallowed her mouthful of pasty, eyeing Nic up with the most curious expression. “Today’s not about me Nic. It’s all about you.”

“Abo...

Tommy year 6 avie1The sun was just starting to rise as Aeryn pulled her broom from the shed and walked over the glistening, dew covered grass onto the Quidditch pitch. The air was crisp, unusually cold for September. She took to the air with grace, pulling her broom up until she was hovering as high as the stands. Aeryn looked back up to the castle to see Tom, Charlie and Céilidh starting down towards the pitch.

The Gryffindor captain returned her attention to her broom handle and set off full tilt on a few laps of the Quidditch pitch. It was a rare moment when she got to enjoy the wind blowing through her hair at top speed, and she loved every minute when she had the chance. The stands became a blur to her spinning around the pitch. Dipping, and diving, and zooming back up high...

Hogwarts-Crest“Belle!,” called Danny as he rushed down the corridor outside of the stone gargoyle that led to Albus Dumbledore’s office. “Did you get called to the old man too?”

“Yeah, Professor Sprout gave me a note after lunch,” replied Belle as she stopped and turned, Diefenbaker perched on her shoulder as was always the case when she wasn’t in classes. “You?”

“Flitwick caught me after Charms. Any idea what this is about.”

“Well, I broke three of Peter the Prat’s ribs and you blew up a toilet…”

“Allegedly blew up a toilet,”

“Allegedly blew up a toilet, so I doubt he wants to see us to make us Head boy and girl.”

Danny let out a big grin, as the grey gargoyle spun around in front of them and the pair ambled on to the rotating staircase that lead to the Headmaster’s office. “Yeah I heard about Peter...

Nicolette year 6 avie1“You want me to do what?” Tom stared wide eyed at Nicolette as he sat down across from her in library for their next tutoring session.

Nicolette looked down at the boy sitting at the library table. She had really gone all out, even put her hair in a bun to appear more severe. “You will copy chapters two and three out of the textbook word for word without the use of magic. Maybe the callouses on your fingers will remind you next time you decide to forgo one of our scheduled sessions in favor of running around no doubt causing mischief with one of your less reputable friends.

Tom sat silent for a moment. A look of anger on his face, “Listen. It wasn’t my fault. I got,” but Tom stopped...

Hogwarts-CrestPeople rushed in and out of class and everyone talked about MacFoozle and Dan’s latest prank. Although it seemed a bit juvenile…even for them…Bobby didn’t want to be anywhere near the chaos. There was too much of that going on in his own mind for that. He quietly sat and admired the fresh air outside even if it was still on the grounds. “Gotta get me a broom somehow,” he muttered to himself. “How can I play quidditch without a broom? You can’t play it without a broom Bobby, why don’t you have a broom?” He got up and paced back and forth as his conversation with himself continued.

Despite the fact that he was too busy talking to himself to notice her, Ambrosia walked steadily toward the blonde boy...

Rose year 6 avie1There were many good reasons why she didn’t care to fly, didn’t even attempt to improve her flying, and yet Ambrosia couldn’t help but feel the tiniest hint of longing as she stared out the glassless windows of the Owelry at the perfectly inviting blue sky beyond. An impatient tug at the ribbon that held back her wealth of golden ringlets brought her thoughts out of the clouds.

“Now remember, go to daddy first… then you can take the big letter to mom,” she told the tiny owl on her shoulder.

Idril simply watched her through enormous golden eyes, somehow managing to look both impatient and understanding as she sat and waited for the final permission to depart.

“It’s just that mom’s going to be so happy,” Rose explained unnecessarily. “But dad understands boys… he used to be one...

Hogwarts-CrestAlbus Dumbledore walked silently into the staff room and took a place at the head of the table. Reaching into his pocket, he extracted a packet of lemon drops and popped one into his mouth as he watched his assembled staff.

Professor Snape scowled at no one in particular. “Those two boys bear careful watching,” he muttered.”This won’t be the end of their antics, mark my words.”

Professor Quirrell sat down and sipped at his tea. “Well, Severus, at least young DuMorne finally got up the nerve to ask Miss Llewellyn to the dance. That’s been going on, what? Since she arrived at Hogwarts?”

“I tell you the girl is a meance!”

“Calm down Poppy , from what I’ve heard that horrible Peter child was having a go at Hagrid...
