AGENTS OF MAGIC – HOGWARTS YEAR 5: FRIENDS AND OTHER STRANGERS 1.4

Laun year 6 avie“And you’ve got your broom?” Alexander Monkshood asked for the 800th time.

“Yes, dad.”

“And your prefect’s pin?”

Sam rolled her eyes. “Oh no, mum, I forgot it at home—now they won’t let me be a prefect!”

“Samantha!”

Sam dug the pin out of her pocket and attached it to her lapel. “There, happy?”

“Did you remember your tickets to the Arrows game?”

“They’re in my trunk.”

“Got my heart?” Alex asked jauntily. Sam grinned at her father and closed her fist over her chest.

“It’s right here. Got mine?”

He imitated the gesture. “You’re growing up way too fast, kiddo. We’ll see you at Christmas, but you may see Uncle Aaron at the game.”

AGENTS OF MAGIC – HOGWARTS YEAR 5: FRIENDS AND OTHER STRANGERS 1.3

Tommy year 6 avie1It was nine thirty on a crisp cool September first as a family of four bustled through the busy King’s Cross station towards the pillar between platforms nine and ten. In the lead was a tall, handsome man in his late thirties. Like so many others at King’s Cross that day, the man was pushing a trolley in front of him, filled with luggage and on top, a cage with a small snow white owl. Cassidy sat, alone, in the Prefect’s car, feeling the emptiness of that place, sitting in a corner to keep an eye on the flickering lights of the cabin, and wondering what darkness lay beyond the door.

Gathering his courage, Cassidy rose to his feet, and stumbled across the tottering car amidst there-again/gone-again light. After what seemed like a lifetime, his hand pressed against the door, and he pushed it aside. Beyond the door, his senses were assailed by a wave awash on a see of images and time, things in jumbled sense that made none to his darting eyes and grasping ears.

A man lay dead, brutally beate...

Agents of MAGIC – Hogwarts Year 5: Friends and Other Strangers 1.1

Laun year 6 avieAs Laun stood there before the adoring masses, he knew that this was where he belonged. He smiled widely as the Minister approached him, an adoring and proud smile on her face; holding the medal in her hands that would signify his achieving the Order of Merlin, first class. As he shook her hand and took the medal, she began to cry;

“Madam Minister what’s wrong?”

“Nothing, it’s just I am so proud to be able to give this to…the greatest wizard who ever lived!” She shouted enthusiastically and began clapping, encouraging others to follow suit until the entirety of the massive crowd of well wishers and fans erupted in thunderous applause.

“Oh stop.” Laun said in semi-sincere humility.

“No, no it is the truth! In fact, who are we kidding, why don’t we just make you the new Min...
